Let’s talk about Bridal Portraits
When my daughter got engaged I knew we would take bridal portraits because I wanted artistic images of her in her wedding dress that would stand the test of time as an iconic and timeless piece of art. I knew that we could not only decorate the wedding with a bridal portrait (or two), but that she would want to display at least one bridal portrait in her home moving forward. She grew up with bridal portraits on our walls from our wedding, and she wanted the same for herself.
I initially didn’t know if I’d want to be the one to take her bridal portraits, but as we got closer to the big day I knew I couldn’t allow anyone else to do it. And as luck would have it, she didn’t want anyone else to capture these special portraits because she trusted me to fulfill her vision. It was a magical experience that I will always treasure.
We arranged a time with her wedding venue, the beautiful Preserve at Canyon Lake, and as luck would have it the weather was simply terrible with rain and wind and cloudy gray skies. But the weather didn’t matter with a venue this light, bright and photogenic. I have to give shoutouts to Naama & Anat Bridal for the stunning gown and Wow Factor Floral for the beautiful bridal bouquet.
I’ll let the images do the talking, but I loved how the framed engagement and bridal portraits served as beautiful accents at the wedding. I’ll include some cell phone snaps to show how we used some of the portrait art pieces.
Below are some cell phone snaps of our portraits in action at the wedding:
